Fixed Equipment Engineer

Location: Tulsa Area, OK

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities / expectations:
  • Develop effective reliability strategies for plant fixed equipment.
  • Optimize equipment lifecycle ownership costs.  Collect track and analyze reliability data on site equipment and work to improve equipment reliability while minimizing maintenance cost.
  • Provide technical scopes and engineering field support for routine maintenance projects. 
  • Manage fixed equipment specifications and standards – collaborating cross-site on institutionalizing reliability best practices.
  • Supervise contractors when their assistance is needed.   Verify contractor capability.  Supervise necessary procurement processes to include POs and AFEs.  Review and approve contractor invoices.  Conduct bidding and estimates as needed.
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis to provide actions that will improve system reliability.
  • Ensure all equipment repair and project scopes follow Process Safety Management and Environmental compliance guidelines. 
  • Support site safety and training initiatives. 
  • Work in a team environment with operators, mechanics, and other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • The successful candidate will need to be willing to work outside during all seasons and weather conditions, utilizing ladders, stairs, and platforms in excess of 100’.  Must be able to utilize all required personal protective equipment including qualifying for use of a full face respirator. 
  • Available for support 24/7 plant operations.

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Reliability Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft based applications.
  • Basic troubleshooting and investigation skills.
