    The Sr. Coordinator, Mechanical Maintenance is responsible for planning, executing and monitoring mechanical maintenance projects and tests throughout the company Distribution Facilities’ system. The incumbent conducts technical inspections, audits, and maintenance on all facilities on both regular and as-needed basis.

    Key Job Elements:
     
    • Perform maintenance on key mechanical equipment at Distribution Facilities, with special focus on: pumps, compressors, overhaul, vibration monitoring, oil analysis, and rotating equipment
    • Readily available to each facility for all maintenance duties – this includes: telephone consultation and travel to facilities to perform repairs on equipment in routine and emergency situations
    • Ensure timely and cost-effective repairs/maintenance completion on all facility equipment
    • Provide on-site training for Distribution personnel in areas of mechanical equipment inspection and maintenance; provide formal training programs
    • Work closely with each of the terminals within Distribution Facilities in the development of proper maintenance activities (this includes programmed maintenance plans, record keeping practices and emergency actions).
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
    • Provide input and analysis on proper maintenance to all equipment
    • Ability to identify like or recurring maintenance issues and looks for solutions
    • Communicate maintenance activities and terminal status to Supt, Mechanical Maintenance and to the terminal facility superintendents
    • Work with vendors and contractors to develop job scopes and plans
    • Oversee/direct contractors who perform on-site and off-site work 
    • Ensure contractors work safely and meet performance standards
    • Other projects as assigned
     
    Successful incumbents will have:
     
    • Minimum of five years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance 
    • Experience/aptitude and training in maintenance planning
    • Background in rotating equipment (pump and compressor) maintenance
    • Ability to obtain a passport and/or a temporary residence permit to travel to Canada on an as-needed basis
     
    Position Scope/Contribution:
    Sr. Coordinator of Mechanical Maintenance is responsible for monitoring Maintenance activities at the numerous company owned Distribution Facilities and assists in the implementation (including procurement and installation) of maintenance projects; proper performance of the incumbent results in minimum downtime during product shipping seasons.
