Quality Specialist/Supervisor

Quality Specialist
Associate’s Degree in Business/Science or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Control experience of at least 2-4 years and 1-3 years of supervision experience preferred.
Facilitate and manage the daily requirements as specified in the Quality System.  Provide support to the production floor in maintaining the Quality Standard.  Meet various customer requests as they are presented.  Support launch of new product programs.    
  1. Provide support/leadership to the Quality Team Leaders/Team Members in their daily duties and notify Quality Manager of any potential issues and possible resolutions.
  2. Manage gauge calibration system.
  3. Provide support, analysis, training and consultation on quality systems, auditing and quality awareness, in addition to maintaining department training, records and coordination of internal quality audits.
  4. Prepare internal and external periodic reports/presentations.
  5. Provide support with plant environmental requirements and help ensure compliance.
  6. Serve as the Designated Document Control representative.
  7. Engage with ERP System (CMS) for purchasing of materials for department needs and in the movement of product on the production floor. 
  8. Oversee department team member/team leader work schedules including management of attendance, vacation and overtime in ADP.  Notify Quality Manager of any potential issues and possible resolutions.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
  1. Experience in performing audits preferred.
  2. Experience in project management preferred.
  3. Attention to detail.
  4. Statistical process control skills preferred.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  6. Proficiency with MS Office products required, primarily Excel, word, and Powerpoint.
  7. Maintain strict confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information to which entrusted.
  8. Ability to lift 70lbs.
  9. Focus on customer satisfaction.
