General Statement of Responsibilities: 
Leads Improvement Projects throughout the facility that are driven by identified constraints within a Value Stream.  Relentless approach to identifying and eliminating waste in order to reduce overall costs. Passionate about improvement and helping people to find a "smarter" way to do their job. 
Essential Duties (Other duties may be assigned as necessary)
  1. Create Value Stream Maps for plant processes; use information from these maps to drive Continuous Improvement activities.
  2. Lead Standard Work teams and assist in Standard Work development.
  3. Lead culture change through Kaizen activities and by training other employees on basic Lean and Six Sigma principles and concepts.
  4. Project Management - create detailed project plans in order to manage multiple projects, achieve business plan results and meet project deadlines.
  5. Improve Plant 5S, 3D and Visualization - must possess a very strong working knowledge of these concepts.
  6. Lead Setup Reduction projects - must possess a very strong working knowledge of SMED principles and techniques.
  7. Possesses strong people skills and excellent communication skills. 
  8. Possesses ability to overcome objections in a positive / favorable manner. 
  9. Supports the Plant quality systems goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
  10. Supports the Plant safety programs / goals within the scope of the job.
  11. Regular and predictable attendance.
  12. Compliance to applicable company, corporate, state, and federal regulations.
  1. Bachelors in relevant discipline
  2. 2-5 years in direct Continuous Improvement role
  3. Lean Manufacturing experience
  4. Lean Six Sigma certified preferred
