Product Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:
To develop and support new and existing business and maximize the profitability of the Formulated Product lines. Will need to leverage all functions reporting to and work with the business director to grow the business.  Will work closely with and take direction from the business management staff.  The key measures for success will be increased profitability from existing business and new business acquired.  Additionally, in-depth knowledge of markets and deep relationships at key customers and industry influencers.   
 
MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
•         Partner with the existing Sr Product Manager as well as Business Manager to identify new product opportunities that support market demands consistent with Formulated Products strategic plan.
•         By interacting directly with leading edge customers, assimilate and present current and anticipated market requirements for current and upcoming technology nodes.
•         Work directly with Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Sales to determine price strategy for new products, price setting for existing products and price reductions.
•         Assist in the development and setting of strategic business direction for the new products to further penetrate existing and new markets. 
•         Drive efforts to acquire new business and key customers, including providing technical and applications support directly or through organization as necessary.
•         Manage commercial and technical requirements of the product lines for external and internal customers. 
•         Manage product pricing and profitability analysis for sustained growth
•         Customer RFQ / RFI responses
•         Manage Product Life Cycle
•         Contract negotiations and Management of Change.
•         Support Operations and QA
•         Assist Product Development in new product commercialization
•         Lead projects internally and externally to lower costs and improve profitability
 
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL (FORMAL TRAINING, LANGUAGES, ABILITIES) AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 
•         BS in Chemistry, Material Science or related fields.
•         A minor or degree in Business field is also preferred
•         2+ years’ experience in product management preferred; experience in the Semiconductor market is ideal.
•         Ability to solve problems and coordinate activities associated with chemical, physical, material and process related issues.
•         Must have a good working knowledge of statistics and design of experiment methods to understand and interpret data for customer presentation. 
•         Must have excellent capability to use Power Point, Excel or other software tools to generate first-class customer presentations. 
•         Must have demonstrated strong financial, organizational, and communication skills.
