Project Manager & Estimator Position
Duties & Responsibilities:
•         Read, interpret and understand architectural drawings, take off information and specification documents
•         Review shop drawings & submittal logs
•         Project scheduling
•         Punch list management
•         Generate RFI’s
•         Subcontractor/Installation management
•         Ability to properly communicate customer expectations to production facility via architectural prints and specs, takeoffs and any other sales information
•         Travel availability
•         Manage all submittals
•         Plan, organize and supervise field installations
•         Ability to take accurate field measurements of job site
•         Ensure quality control of work both in manufacturing and at job site
•         Coordinate and monitor fabrication activity
•         Document, track and initiate billing for all change orders
•         Coordinate material orders and tracking
•         Target delivery dates, coordinate the work in the shop so it coordinates with the site readiness and meets the expectations of the customer
•         Ability to recognize potential job site issues and assess realistic job site readiness for fixturing
•         Estimate jobs with accuracy, speed and efficiency
•         Contract/proposal writing
•         Develop and maintain job costs, project budget and schedules
Qualifications & Skills:
•         AutoCAD navigation ability, drafting experience a plus
•         Project scheduling software experience
•         Sound knowledge of commercial construction industry, understanding of finish carpentry and millwork trade
•         Proficient with Excel, Word, Gmail, PDF markup and editing
•         Clear and concise communicator in both verbal and written skills
•         Innovative self-starter
•         Solid knowledge of reading and navigating through architectural blueprints and specifications
•         Prior experience developing job costs and budgets
•         Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
•         Experience with material vendors and knowledge of the material types used in the industry
•         Ability to realistically estimate time to complete a bid and communicate about it
•         Logical problem solver
•         Previous estimating of wood work is a plus
•         Experience with contract/proposal writing
